Luck O' the Irish

I've recently rediscovered what an awesome machine my Cricut is for making fast and attractive scrapbook pages.  Celebrate with Flourish is my latest Cricut cartridge purchase, and I plan to put it to good use.  There are several cute images on it for each season.

Speaking of seasons, it's hard to believe that March is almost here, and spring is right around the corner.  I made this 6x6 layout of my wonderful husband.  I am one lucky girl...even if I'm not really Irish.

Other than the Cricut cartridge that I mentioned above, I purchased the patterned paper at a local scrapbooking store.  All other paper is Stampin Up.

Big Bold Scrapbooking Pages

Are you familiar with http://www.outonalimbscrapbooking.com/ ?  I think their big, bold, colorful layouts are awesome!  If you like them on Facebook, you'll see a couple of their layouts each day.  They sell their layouts, but I often turn to them for inspiration to make my own.  Here is a scrapbook layout that we recently made in my valentine class.

Before looking at outonalimbscrapbooking.com, I probably wouldn't have made the lovebugs quite so large, but I love how they add to the page.  Now I'm planning to put my Cricut machine to use more than ever!  Two Cricut cartridges were used for this project...Doodlecharms and Doodletype.  The pretty flower paper was purchased at Michaels.  All other paper is Stampin Up.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the special people in your life.

Small Valentine Scrapbook

Small scrapbooks are quick and easy to put together.  After seeing this one on http://www.pinefeather.typepad.com/ , I knew that I wanted to make one.

I simply cut natural colored cardstock at 3 1/2 x 5 1/2, added some patterned paper, and attached 3x3 inch envelopes.  (from SU).  The stamp sets I used were Papertrey Ink.  Each envelope holds a picture of a family member.

I decorated the back as shown using more stamp sets from Papertrey Ink.

I finished the project using a silver keychain ring and of course, ribbon!

10 Things I Love About You

Valentine's Day is quickly sneaking up on us, so I've been busy in my craft room today making a few fun things.  I saw this cute idea on Heather Nichol's site and had to make it.  Pictured are my mom and stepdad.  I could name a lot more things that I love about them than the ten, but that's a good start.  Arlin and I are blessed to have amazing parents.  We hope they will enjoy receiving these for Valentine's Day.

Here are the materials that I used:
Cardstock:  white, crumb cake (SU)
Stamp Sets:  Take Note, Top Ten, (both by Papertrey Ink), Confetti (SU)
Ink:  crumb cake, real red (SU)
Punches:  scallop circle, scallop border, 1 3/8 circle (SU)
Embellishments:  ribbon

The natural cardstock measures 5 1/2 x 11.  The white is 5 1/4 x 7.

I hope you enjoyed learning about this project today.  What fun things are you making for Valentine's Day?
