Thanksgiving Turkey
In club this month, we made a 6x6 scrapbook page to fit the Thanksgiving theme. I wanted to make a simple turkey, because most of my customers have children. The body of the turkey was made with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge by cutting out a three inch oval. SU's large oval punch was used for the feathers. For the comb of the turkey's head, I used a bow from a giftbox of a Cricut cartridge. His beak was made from a square punch cut in half to make a triange. The waddle came from yet another punch...the wing of the SU's bird punch.
Of course, this scrapbook page will look much more complete showcasing a picture. I plan to have each of my family members write something that they are thankful for on the pull out tag. Gobble-gobble!
Materials Used:
Paper: Orchard Harvest DSP, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake,
More Mustard
Ink: Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple
Stamps: Pursuit of Happiness
Tools: large oval punch, square punch, SU bird punch, scallop edge punch, decorative label punch,
Sizzix tag die,
Embellishments: Raspberry Ripple ribbon, googly eyes,

Halloween 6x6 Scrapbook Page
Tomorrow at club, we'll be making this 6x6 scrapbook page to hold a spooky Halloween photo. I know the bow does not go with my son's scary picture but couldn't resist how cute it looks. I'll be yanking it off before he can see it. If you'd like to make a page like it, here are the materials I used.
Paper: very vanilla, black, Howlstooth and Scaringbone DSP
Stamps: Spooky Bingo Bits. Jack of all Trades, Tricky Treats
Ink: black, tangerine tango
Embellishments: black and gray satin ribbon
Tools: 1 inch circle punch, 1 3/8 square punch
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

A Scrapbook Page for Dad
One of our monthly projects at stamping club is to make a simple 6x6 scrapbook page for each month of the year. Each clubber then adds a picture to her page and places the page in a small scrapbook. At the end of 2012, it will be a nice recap of the year.
For June, we made a Father's Day page.
For June, we made a Father's Day page.
I had the opportunity to spend several days lately with my dad on a camping trip in Minnesota. As soon as I get my pictures developed, I'll add one to this page. It will be a great reminder of the fun time that we shared together on vacation.

Mother's Day Page
Each month at our stamping club, we are making a 6x6 scrapbook page to put into an album. This is the one that we made for this month. It was a very simple project. All materials used were Stampin Up. The little purse was made from a 1 3/4 punch that was trimmed at the bottom. For the flap of the purse, I used a 1 inch punch and trimmed it at the top. The handle was also made from two punches...the oval and scallop oval. A decorative brad was then used to complete it. I got the idea for it from Inking Idaho. The dress and letters were cut from my Sizzix Eclips machine. The cartridges used were Boy and Girl and Rockin Janie. What fun projects are you making for Mother's Day?

Luck O' the Irish
I've recently rediscovered what an awesome machine my Cricut is for making fast and attractive scrapbook pages. Celebrate with Flourish is my latest Cricut cartridge purchase, and I plan to put it to good use. There are several cute images on it for each season.
Speaking of seasons, it's hard to believe that March is almost here, and spring is right around the corner. I made this 6x6 layout of my wonderful husband. I am one lucky girl...even if I'm not really Irish.
Other than the Cricut cartridge that I mentioned above, I purchased the patterned paper at a local scrapbooking store. All other paper is Stampin Up.
