Cookin Up Fun

Country Life is such a cute Cricut cartridge.  I'm planning to use many of it's images in a heritage album, because it has some pictures on it that will work perfectly...apron, small quilt, clothes hanging on a clothes line, chickens (I'll have to put that on my great Mammaw's page, because she raised chickens in her backyard.  I remember feeding them.), old sewing machine, etc.  I can't wait to get started on it.  In the meantime, I made this Cookin Up Fun scrapbook page using the same cartridge.

The colors I used were SU's crumb cake, old olive, cherry cobbler, and early espresso.

Thank you for stopping by my blog.  Let me know if you have any questions!

I Love Scrapbooking

I'm using some of my Spring Break to do one of the things I love most...Scrapbooking.  My friends and I are going on a scrapbooking retreat soon, and of course, we always take pictures.  I made this scrapbook page in advance to slip our photos onto.

These are the materials I used:

Paper:  All paper is Stampin Up except for the designer paper that I purchased from a local craft store.
Cricut Cartridges:  Accent Essentials (Flowers)
Sizzix Eclips Cartridge:  Rockin Janie (Font)
Stampin Up Die Cut:  Tasteful Trim (Borders)

Have a great day, and thank you for stopping by my blog!

Life Is Sweet

I'm preparing to teach a class at a scrapbooking retreat in a few weeks with my good friends and craftin sisters.  This is one of the layouts that we'll be putting together.

I used two different Cricut cartridges to make it:  Doodletype for the font and Doodlecharms for the cupcake and candy.  It was my first attempt to weld some of the letters (Life Is) together using my new Cricut Design Studio Software.  More practice is needed, but I'll get it right.  Do you use the Cricut?  If so, what is your favorite cartridge to use?

Big Bold Scrapbooking Pages

Are you familiar with http://www.outonalimbscrapbooking.com/ ?  I think their big, bold, colorful layouts are awesome!  If you like them on Facebook, you'll see a couple of their layouts each day.  They sell their layouts, but I often turn to them for inspiration to make my own.  Here is a scrapbook layout that we recently made in my valentine class.

Before looking at outonalimbscrapbooking.com, I probably wouldn't have made the lovebugs quite so large, but I love how they add to the page.  Now I'm planning to put my Cricut machine to use more than ever!  Two Cricut cartridges were used for this project...Doodlecharms and Doodletype.  The pretty flower paper was purchased at Michaels.  All other paper is Stampin Up.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the special people in your life.
